MW4 Stranded Codes: All 8 Keypad Codes
All 8 MW4 Stranded keypad codes — six shipping containers and two hidden bunkers in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 — plus every safe and door code in the game.

Stranded is the open-combat mission in the middle of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 campaign: a wide sandbox on the Korean Peninsula where what is left of your squad has to scavenge for every piece of gear. Scattered across its tac map are eight locked keypads — six shipping containers and two hidden bunkers — and every code is fixed: the same for every player, on every platform, in every playthrough. Here are all eight MW4 Stranded codes, what each one unlocks, and where the keypad is — plus every safe and door code elsewhere in the MW4 campaign.

How the Stranded keypads work
Every keypad takes a four-digit code, and every code can be deduced from a note hidden near the keypad — a sequence to continue, a number to add, or a count to take. You never have to find those notes: the codes above work as-is. If you want the in-fiction route, each section below explains the puzzle too.
The Yellow Supply Crates scattered around the map are a different system — they have no keypad and no code. There are 26 of them hidden around Stranded, and opening them feeds the campaign's crate-counting achievement, so it pays to crack every container while you are in the area anyway.

Shipping container codes in Stranded
The six containers are the backbone of Stranded's scavenging loop: each one is a sealed loot cache, and two of them hold the best gear in the mission. They show up as keypad icons on the tac map.

Base Camp container — 0024
The first container is practically on your doorstep. It sits at Base Camp itself (644, 158), right next to the radio tower, and it is hard to miss on your way out. The keypad note nearby shows the number 0018 and tells you to add 6 — which gives 0024. Inside: armor plates and a resupply of supplies.

Container south of the Jamming Station — 8609
South of the jamming station (667, 125), the container's note lists three codes that came before yours: 5903, 6805 and 7707. Each step adds 1,000 to the first digit, subtracts 100 from the second, leaves the third alone and adds 2 to the fourth — so the next number in the sequence is 8609. Inside are three Drill Charges, the biggest haul of explosives on the map.

Southeast Village container — 0078
In the village on the southeast side of the map (652, 187), by the bridge and the big red sign. The note runs 0012, 0034, 0056 — each entry adds 22 — so the next number is 0078. This is the jackpot container: it holds the X-Void SMG with subsonic ammo, a strong stealth option for the rest of the mission.

Cliff container north of Base Camp — 0600
A short climb north of Base Camp, up on the cliff overlooking the water (646, 150). The note counts down 9300, 6400, 3500 — subtract 2,900 each step — and lands on 0600. Inside: armor plates and five supplies.

Big Sign container — 1234
Mid-map, next to the oversized sign that gives the container its nickname (634, 137). The note reads 1000, 1200, 1230 — each step appends one more digit — so the sequence completes as 1234. Inside: armor plates and ten supplies.

Small river island container — 6789
On the tiny island in the river, near a watchtower (618, 132). The note's codes — 3456, 4567, 5678 — each slide one position to the left, so the next code is 6789. Inside: ten supplies.

Hidden bunker codes in Stranded
The two hidden bunkers hold the largest stashes in the mission, and both codes come from map-wide puzzles rather than local notes. Neither shows a keypad icon until you get close.

Farm Fields hidden bunker — 0330
In the farm fields near the windmill, northeast of Base Camp (631, 128). The note tells you to add up the numbers displayed at the map's four Logistics outposts — 10, 20, 100 and 200 — for a total of 330, so enter 0330. Visiting those outposts to read their numbers doubles as a supply run on the way. Inside: armor plates and seven supplies.

Island hidden bunker — 0008
On the island at the north end of the river (615, 169). The note asks how many outposts line the river — the answer is eight — so enter 0008. Inside is a Yellow Supply Crate holding ten supplies.

Every safe and door code in the rest of the MW4 campaign
Stranded's keypads all guard containers — the campaign's safes, doors and toolboxes live in other missions. If you landed here hunting those, here is the full set:
| Mission | Lock | Code | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Following Orders | Toolbox | 214 | The recipe note on the fridge reads 2 kg of rice flour, 5 ml of salt (the odd one out — skip it), 1 l of water, 4 packs of raisins: 2-1-4. |
| Assassins | Bunker door, main floor | 5523 | First of three keypads in the bunker. |
| Assassins | Lower-level shutter | 7632 | Second keypad, deeper in the bunker. |
| Assassins | Hidden bunker behind the golden statue | 9103 | Unlocks the Gone in a Blink achievement. |
| Escape | Safe | 8410 | A note marked "Updated Code" points here; the safe holds the Dogtags and the Never Forgotten achievement. |
FAQ
Are MW4 Stranded codes random?
No. All eight Stranded keypad codes — 0024, 8609, 0078, 0600, 1234, 6789, 0330 and 0008 — are hardcoded, the same for every player in every playthrough. The notes near each keypad are just the in-fiction way to derive them.
Do I need to find the notes before the keypads work?
No. You can walk up to any keypad and enter the codes above — no note required. The notes are optional flavor, though the two bunker notes point you at map features worth visiting anyway.
What do the Stranded codes unlock?
Gear rather than story: armor plates, supplies, three Drill Charges, and the X-Void SMG with subsonic ammo from the Southeast Village container. The two bunkers hold the biggest stashes, including a Yellow Supply Crate with ten supplies.
Do Stranded codes count toward achievements?
The codes themselves don't, but the map around them does: the 26 Yellow Supply Crates hidden across Stranded feed the campaign's crate-counting achievement. The code-locked achievements are in other missions — Gone in a Blink (door 9103 in Assassins) and Never Forgotten (safe 8410 in Escape).
Is Stranded playable yet?
Yes. Campaign early access went live on October 16, 2026 for pre-orders, and Modern Warfare 4 launches in full on October 23, 2026. The launch date carries a live countdown on our Modern Warfare 4 page.
