About this game

A modern reimagining of Lara Croft's 1996 debut adventure, sending her from the Peruvian jungle through Greek ruins and Egyptian deserts in search of the lost secrets of Atlantis.

Story & setting

The adventure retraces the original 1996 game's globe-trotting route, from Peruvian jungles and crumbling Greek ruins to Egyptian deserts, before arriving at a mysterious island shrouded in myth. Crystal Dynamics rebuilds each locale in Unreal Engine 5 and threads in new story links that bridge Lara's debut to her future.

Gameplay

Traversal-led exploration built around climbing, leaping and grappling-hook swinging across deadly terrain, mixed with environmental puzzle-solving and combat against the guardians of each tomb.
